An aggressive diamond-lug tread delivers superior grip on snow, ice, and mud, with reinforced high-wear zones for lasting durability in rugged terrain.
Fully seals the insulation from both sides, preventing water from flooding in or sweat from soaking through—eliminating the #1 cause of winter boot failure.
Layered insulation traps body heat while blocking the transfer of cold, creating a powerful thermal barrier for extended wear in extreme climates.
Built for the harshest winter environments, the VBX Bunny Boot delivers dependable warmth and comfort in severe subzero conditions, outperforming traditional cold-weather footwear.
The VBX (Vapor Barrier X) system is a waterproof layer that surrounds multi-layer wool insulation, keeping it dry. By blocking outside water and inside perspiration, it preserves warmth and performance in extreme cold, ensuring comfort even in overflow or extended use.
The Original Airboss Bunny Boot has a CLO value of 1.61 and is rated for use in temperatures ranging from -20°F down to -65°F. The AKGC VBX improves slightly on this with a CLO value of 1.79, giving it a comfort range of -25°F to -70°F. For maximum insulation, the AKGC VBX Max is the warmest model, with a CLO value of 2.14 and a rating of -34°F to -79°F. The AKGC VBX Composite follows closely, offering a CLO value of 2.01 and a comfort range of -30°F to -75°F. Finally, the AKGC VBX LITE is designed as a lighter, more mobile option, with a CLO value of 1.36 and a range of -5°F to -50°F.
Both are durable Extreme Cold Vapor Barrier Boots designed for extreme cold and moisture expulsion. The VBX Max includes additional insulation and design enhancements for the coldest, most demanding environments. The VBX MAX holds a slight weight and ergonomic penalty due to the added insulation.
They are ideal for extended exposure in extreme cold. Backcountry winter expeditions, snowmachining, ice fishing, or Arctic travel are common use cases for the VBX MAX Bunny Boot.
We have modeled our boots after the legacy Bunny Boot, which was designed for temperatures ranging between –20° and –65° Fahrenheit. An independent lab ran thermal tests and found the VBX MAX had 37% greater thermal retention compared to the legacy Bunny Boot.
They’re constructed from a proprietary vulcanized rubber that resists cracking in extreme cold and provides a strong waterproof barrier.
All models are tested in real Arctic conditions as well as lab environments to run modern thermal testing with U.S. based footwear scientists for durability, insulation, fit, puncture, and slip resistance.
No, VBX Boots do not use Thinsulate. VBX boots keep you warm with a proven multilayer insulation system - built to perform where other materials can’t. Unlike synthetic fibers such as Thinsulate, which lose their effectiveness when exposed to the heat of vulcanization, our insulation stays durable, reliable, and ready for the cold.
The innovative Vapor Barrier X (VBX) technology prevents condensation from penetrating and freezing in the inner insulation layer, ensuring consistent warmth. The multilayer insulation system effectively blocks heat transfer, keeping the cold out while retaining warmth inside the boot. The boots feature vented hydrophobic insoles that keep feet dry and supported, as well as reinforcement of high-impact areas of the outsoles for enhanced comfort during prolonged wear.
For best results, clean your VBX Bunny Boots using a soft brush and warm water with mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or cleaners, as they can damage the rubber exterior. After use, remove the insoles and allow both the boots and insoles to dry completely before storing. Always store in a cool, dry place to maintain performance and extend the life of your boots.
We recommend synthetic or wool blend socks that wick moisture. Avoid cotton. For very cold conditions, a thin liner sock plus a thicker insulating sock works well. Always ensure there’s enough room to maintain circulation.
Yes. While VBX Bunny Boots come with a built-in liner system, they can accommodate aftermarket insoles or orthotics for added arch support or custom fit, just be sure not to compress insulation too much.

I two pairs this time size 15 .the one I ordered before was size 14 they were a little bit too small. I give them to my brother and he really likes them.
I have to say your boot have no match they are simply the best period.
Have a few people asking about those boot and I told them they will not regret if they decide to buy them. And I also said to buy them one size smaller and it will fit there feet perfectly.
By the way this morning a man come to me and ask me about my boot if I like them and how much they cost
First i said: I really like them to me they are the best.
Second: to me as a Canadian they cost almost $ 750 Canadian dollars and that's for the boot + transport + money exchange.
And when I said I ordered them from Alaska he said that he was from Alaska.
I said to him the winter in Alaska cold too and he should buy a pair of of them.
You will not regret it i promise you.
I just spent 10 days in the bush in the Northwest Territories with temperatures as low as -44°C and daytime highs between -20° and -35°. These boots were the warmest I have worn. I didn't have cold feet once while snowmobiling or setting nets under the ice at -30°C. They were also more comfortable and easier to put on and take off than my old boots. The best part is I don't have to worry nearly as much about getting my feet wet in overflow. I got stuck in knee-deep water a couple of years ago, and despite trying to dry out over a fire, my boots were blocks of ice in the hour it took to get somewhere warm. The VBX Max are way easier to dry out. I was worried about the expensive price, but it is no good to be sitting in the bush with frozen feet thinking about all the money you saved. Well worth it! The only suggestion I would have is a bit smoother lacing system to allow for the cinching of the lower part of the boot.
As a game warden and active hunter, I have tried almost every possible type of boots and methods to keep my feet warm while sitting motionless on a hunting stand. Heated insoles, heating pads, heated socks, waiting bags, Baffin Apex boots—basically everything available.
No matter what I used, after about three hours of sitting still, my feet would always start to get cold.
Years ago I noticed that trappers in Alaska use Bunny Boots, and I told myself I would like to try them someday. Unfortunately, they were almost impossible to get in Europe or Slovenia.
Recently I came across your online store and, with a bit of a shaking hand, I placed the order because the total price—with taxes, customs, and shipping—came to 670 €. I was skeptical because everywhere you look, every product claims to be the best, but in the end you still get cold after a few hours.
Just for context: in Slovenia we don’t have extremely low temperatures, usually around –10 °C at most, but when you sit completely still for hours on a hunting stand, the cold eventually gets to you.
To shorten the story: when the boots arrived, I was curious how they would perform while walking from the vehicle to the hunting stand. Surprisingly, the boots are extremely comfortable and pleasant to wear, despite their large size.
But the real test was waiting in the cold.
Honestly, I have never found anything that can compete with these boots. After five hours of completely motionless waiting at –8 °C, my feet were actually warm. Not just “not cold” — they were genuinely warm and comfortable.
Even though the price is high, I would honestly have been willing to pay more if it meant I wouldn’t have cold feet anymore.
They are truly worth every cent.
I am extremely satisfied. Thank you.
Greetings from Slovenia.
As advertised, warmest boots ever worn
