The Arctika is by far the best tent you can have for harsh conditions. I have owned my Arctika for 14 years now and have used it in the Brooks Range, Alaska Range, Kodiak, moose camp, Arctic Man and everything in between. I have roughly 500 nights in this tent and can say with 100% confidence that this tent, will provide you with a warm dry base camp wherever you are. I usually bring my homemade barrel stove when I use it in the winter as it allows me to get longer times between stoking the fire at negative temps. I also had holes cut into the floor so it doubles as an ice fishing shanty. There is simply nothing better than having this bombproof shelter along on any of your expeditions in AK.
Can't be beat. With 3 people and a stove we stayed more than warm and had more than enough room for a 10 day moose hunt in the Brooks Range. Snow, wind, rain, and the inside was bone dry. Room to stand and dry all the gear after coming back wet most days. Don't think twice, this is the pinnacle of backcountry tents.
