Explore What Makes An Arctic Oven

Ventilation

Fresh Air

Ventilation

Fresh Air

High / Low Ventilation Tubes

The Arctic Oven is designed with ventilation tubes to keep air circulating in the tent, protecting it from oxygen deprivation and carbon monoxide poisoning.

Increased Stove Performance

Improved ventilation enhances stove performance by facilitating superior airflow, ensuring efficient combustion and heat distribution.

Rock Solid Frame

Our heavy-duty pole system is designed to keep your shelter standing tall against high winds, heavy snow loads, and torrential storms.

Rigid Poles

Our rigid poles are constructed using thick aluminum tubing with reinforced hub fittings. They attach using 1/4" Arctic-grade bungee cord, designed to remain elastic at frigid temperatures.

Flexible Poles

Flexible pole sets are constructed with shatter-proof high-strength aluminum and an Arctic-grade bungee cord system, ensuring elasticity in negative temperatures and the ability to handle heavy snow loads.

High Tensile Strength Fabrics

The heavy-duty rain fly is constructed using 4 oz urethane-coated fire-resistant nylon, preventing tearing due to high winds and snow loads.

Reinforced Stress Points

Tie-outs are built with heavy-duty webbing and metal D-rings and reinforced with a patch of 18-oz vinyl for an extra layer of security, minimizing the chance of breakage. All corners and contact points are reinforced with 18-oz vinyl patches.

Handcrafted

Made In Alaska

Established 1987

Since 1987 the Arctic Oven has been manufactured in Fairbanks, Alaska, one of the coldest inhabited places on the planet.

Built To Last

Unlike mass-produced tents, ours are built to last. Each panel is machine cut for perfect dimensions, then meticulously hand-sewn and seam sealed to ensure superior strength and quality. This attention to detail, along with rigorous quality checks, guarantees a tent that will hold up to the most demanding adventures.

Insulation

Double Walled Design

Insulation

Double Walled Design

Insulating Air Void

The Arctic Oven features a double-walled design that creates an air void between the rainfly and the inner body of the tent. This slows the transfer of heat by preventing the mixture of warm air from inside the tent and cold air from outside.

Extended Rain Fly

The heavy-duty tent fly extends beyond the floor, reducing cold air from flowing beneath the tent and preserving the dead air space insulation.

Vapex

Condensation Free Interior

DRY INTERIOR

The proprietary vape material is waterproof while retaining the ability to expel moisture. This allows for a dry, condensation-free interior where you can dry out after a long day in the sop.

HEAT RETENTION

Vapex has high heat reflection and low heat absorption which keeps the heat inside the tent longer and delays the rate at which heat radiates out of the tent.

Protection From The Elements

Stay shielded from rain, snow, and sleet with the triple defense of heavy-duty rainfly, waterproof Vapex inner body, and waterproof nylon bathtub floor.

Superior High Wind Performance

Strategically placed tie-out locations with heavy-duty vinyl reinforcements for superior performance in high-wind scenarios.

Handle Heavy Snow Loads

Arctic Oven tents are designed with heavy-duty poles to create a steeped side frame. The tent then utilizes high-tensile strength fabrics with heavy-duty vinyl reinforcements to handle heavy snow loads.

Built In Stove Jack

The Arctic Oven is designed to run a Tent Stove and is compatible with several stove types. It comes with a built-in stove jack. The stove jack is made of silica glass that can withstand temperatures of 700°F, and a silicone ring provides an added layer of protection against the hot stovepipe and prevents water from entering the tent.

Very Impressed to say the least.

So I’m currently on a job site 2000’ ft above the homer spit, it’s raining, sleeting and it snowed the day we were building the tent. It was nasty to say the least.

The tent has been dry, warm and abundantly comfortable since the moment we got it fully up and the stove running. 5 stars isn’t enough.
