The double-walled design creates an air void between the rainfly and the inner body of the tent, slowing heat transfer by preventing warm air from inside the tent and cold air from outside from mixing. The heavy-duty tent fly extends beyond the floor, reducing cold air from flowing beneath the tent and preserving the dead air space insulation.

"The AO 10 does all I need, and more. I snow camp and need a reliable warm tent to come back to after a days adventure. At -25f I had no trouble holding the temperature to 65-70 and still had the stove dampered way down. One day I forgot to damper the stove back down after feeding it and it got to 122F inside while it was 5 F outside inside of an hour. It has survived high winds, monsoon rains and wicked snowfalls.
