For pilots who demand excellence in performance and safety, the Alaskan Bushwheel takes it to the next level with its sealed and integrated tubeless design that allows for more forgiving landings in relentless environments.
Alaskan Bushwheels are the pinnacle big tire of backcountry aviation granting pilots, hunters, explorers, researchers, athletes, and adventurers access to the most remote places on the planet.
Alaskan Bushwheels come in a variety of sizes and weights to support everything from light sports aircraft to heavy bush planes, flying anywhere from the side-country to the backcountry.
Alaskan Bushwheel Tundra Tires are sealed and tubless, allowing for safe operation at a low PSI for smoother, more forgiving landings. The integrated tube prevents in-the-field failures resulting from side hits that are common with other tubeless but non-integrated big tires.
When flying in unforgiving conditions you need reliable equipment that is designed to be bulletproof. Bush flying in Alaska has been a necessity and way of life since the early days of aviation. Alaskan Bushwheels were designed with the forethought of the self-reliance and independence required for flying in such conditions.
Self Sealed Tubeless Design allows for running the tires at a decreased PSI increasing shock absorption while eliminating the risk of side impact separating the tire from the wheel.
Integrated Valve Stem allows the tire to rotate freely on the wheel without shearing off the valve stem. This allows for running at a lower PSI softening hard touchdowns.
Bulletproof Field Ops through scrupulous design and manufacturing protect you from side hits, big rocks, mud, and getting stranded in the backcountry letting you land anywhere.
Increased Prop Clearance provides greater maneuverability in the backcountry reducing the risk of prop strike or nose over.
Optimized Angle of Attack creates improved conditions for slower landings and shorter takeoffs with increased ground stability.
Hand Crafted in the USA using American materials and the expertise of the Alaskans that rely on backcountry access as a way of life.
Alaskan Bushwheel Airstreak 26
I have just fitted my new Airstreaks. Which are about 7lb each heavier than my old LSA bush wheels (All good) I purchased my LSA 26” from you guys in 2018. Did about 490 Hrs and around 2100 Landings. The outer side walls were starting to crack/ split longitudinally on the outside of both tires ! Is this normal ? I have only ever landed on grass and gravel . They were a very Soft Tire. The new ones are much stiffer, which I am happy with. Cheers
