
Yes, the Conical engine mount is FAA-PMA.
Conical engine mounts are typically for Lycoming O-320’s and the Dynafocal like we make for the 4 place takes an O-360. There are exceptions to this rule however and models of each engine exist with the other type of mount system.
A conical engine mount uses straight mounting points and is simpler and lighter but provides basic vibration dampening. A Dynafocal mount angles its mounting points toward the engine's center of mass for improved vibration isolation, making it ideal for higher- horsepower engines as they allow for a larger range of motion.
