My first real outing with the new bunny boots, an overnight snowmachine trip to install a new avalanche weather station at the top of the Gulkana Glacier. It was -25°F at the parking lot but warmed up to above 0°F for the rest of the trip.
What sets the old bunny boots apart from other winter boots is providing an almost superpower-like ability to keep your feet warm, no matter the air temperature. On this trip, the new boots performed on par with my experience using the previous versions: clammy but reliably warm toes.
With a bit of practice, I figured out a way to lace them snugly while still being able to slip them on and off without untying—a big convenience.

Presently I’m working in North Eastern BC Canada, where temperatures recently have been hitting between-30 to -40 degrees celsius. I pestered the good people of AGC to get these boots out to me asap so I would have them during my week off from work and be ready to return to work and those sub zero temperatures. I have the OG US Army Bunny Boots and they continue to serve me well due to the fact that I can only fit these older boots into my ICE-TREK Polar bindings and have still yet to see if my new boots will fit into the bindings also. Modifications MIGHT be required to enable me to ski tour. That said, I’m back at work and my feet are no longer frozen due to the arrival of my new bunny boots! It’s gonna be a long winter in Northern Canada, working, running dogs and ski touring and I already know these boots are gonna keep my feet toasty! Gonna pair them with some Bama socks! Total perfection!
